Baking and cooking are two of my main passions. I love mixing colorful ingredients and giving shape to something extraordinarily tasty in the same way a painter creates an incredible work of art by mixing and brushing colors on a canvas.
When I
started experimenting in my kitchen many years ago, I didn't think my
interest would have grown so much and would have led me to this
point.
I slowly started challenging myself each time a bit more, following my curiosity and the wish of bringing the taste and culinary scents of far countries in my kitchen. Actually, I started handling measuring cups and wooden spoons owing mainly to my and my husband's intolerance to wheat, refined sugar, and lactose. We had to nourish ourselves with alternative products that weren't easy to find on the market, and the few that were available were absolutely tasteless or quite uneatable.
Almost immediately, I began adapting normal recipes to the ingredients I could use in order to enlarge the choice of what we could eat without getting sick. All the recipes you'll find on this blog are recipes that contain ingredients like: spelt flour, brown sugar, low-fat butter (I normally use the one mixed with canola oil), goat butter, coconut/rice/lactose-free whipping cream, goat or lactose-free milk, and so on and so forth. But don't worry, you can also use all my recipes even if you prefer to use normal ingredients, for I'll always add the original version, too, or I'll simply tell you what was changed like, for example, the amount of butter and sugar, which I normally decrease.
At this point I can only wish you to have fun and enjoy your time trying out a new recipe. :)
